Welcome to the Examination Office of the Nuu Technical and Vocational College. The office is headed by the Examination Officer / Assessment Centre officer and is responsible for overseeing all trainee assessments/examinations, ensuring fair and timely evaluations, and maintaining academic integrity and honesty.
We strive to support trainees, academic departments, and staff by organizing examinations efficiently and providing resources and guidance throughout the academic year.
The Examination Department provides the following services:
The College collaborates with the following examining bodies for assessing its trainees leading to the award of respective course certificates in Artisan /Level 4, Craft /Level 5, and Diploma /Level 6 for KNEC, CDACC and KASNEB respectively.
In addition, NITA assess various courses and awards certificates in Grade III, Grade II and Grade I respectively.
The college administers the following types of examinations/Assessments in both theory and practical: -
The official exam timetables for both internal and external examinations for each term is released by the Examination Department.
Trainees are required to register for their exams by the deadlines set for each term. Failure to register on time may result in being unable to take the exam.
After exams, results will be processed and made available for collection in the college during the official working hours. Trainees can access their results after successful clearance from all departments and offices
If you have questions or require re-evaluation, please submit a request within the assessment/examination period/re-evaluation period
If you are unable to attend an exam due to valid reasons (illness, emergencies, etc.), you may be eligible to apply for a make-up exam / Special examination. Applications must be submitted to the examination office, along with the required supporting documents. Deadlines for re-exam/refers / reassessments applications will be communicated along with the exam schedule.
To ensure smooth and fair conduct of exams, trainees are expected to follow specific rules and guidelines. This includes:
Academic department members are required to submit examination papers to the Examination Department by the specified deadlines. Late submissions may result in delays in the exam process. Please follow the instructions outlined in the [Academic department Portal] (insert link).
Academic department are responsible for grading trainee exams and submitting results within the specified time frame. The Examination Department ensures that grades are processed and released on time.
The Examination Department is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity. All trainees are expected to abide by the institution’s code of conduct during examinations. Any violations, including cheating, plagiarism, or other dishonest practices, will be dealt with strictly and may lead to disciplinary action.
