Message From Dean Of Students

Welcome to the office of the Dean of Students and Students’ Welfare.

This office is primarily responsible for trainees’ welfare from the time they enter the College until they complete their studies. It coordinates all the activities, issues, and matters that affect students’ well-being be they personal, academic, social, or economic. In a nutshell, the Dean of Students office (DoS) is concerned with students’ life outside the lecture hall. Therefore, the office plays a very central role in the trainees’ learning and development at the College which consequently advances the achievement of Nuu TVC’s mission.

The Dean of Students’ office is responsible for providing numerous services aimed at addressing the welfare of our ever-growing trainee population. The office directly handles the following student welfare related services:-Guidance and Counseling, Spiritual Guidance, Games and Sports, Students’ governance-NUTESA, Clubs and Societies, Work Study Placement, Bursary Schemes, Entertainment and Recreation, Students’ Special Needs, Recognition Awards, Orientation Process, etc. The office also acts as the link between the College management and the trainees.

Guidance and Counseling, and Sports and Recreation services are provided through two departments namely; the Guidance and Counseling Department and the Sports and Recreation Department respectively.

Besides, since human nature highlights complaints but blurs compliments, the DoS office has ensured that all trainees’ complaints are addressed immediately after they are reported, and records of the same are kept for follow-up and referencing.
