Message From Deputy Principal Academics

Nuu Technical and Vocational College is privileged to be among the TVET colleges with two Deputy Principals i.e. Deputy Principal Administration and Deputy Principal Academic affairs. The Deputy Principal Academic Affairs deputizes the Principal in all academic affairs, consisting of accreditations of courses offered, curriculum implementation, supervision, assessment, research and innovations etc.

In undertaking our core mandate effectively, we offers training programmes spread across six academic departments; namely: Computing and Informatics, Building and Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Business Studies, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Institutional Management, Currently, we enroll and train trainees on TVET –CDACC courses at level 6, level 5 and level 4. We also train continuing trainees on KICD courses at diploma module II and III as well as craft certificate module II examined by KNEC. Short /professional courses examined various assessment bodies like NITA, KASNEB etc are also offered. Kindly click here to download a brochure for our courses.

The college has well trained and qualified trainers that diligently ensure that our graduates acquire the necessary skills and competencies as required by the industry, leading to their absorption in the job market. Majority of our trainers are employed by the State Department for TVET while a few are employed by the Board of Governors for the college. In terms of training infrastructure and facilities the college has modern lecture rooms, well equipped workshops, computer labs, library, Local Area network with WI-FI hotspots, outdoor learning spaces etc.

The government has already set up a well-equipped Jitume lab in the college, an initiative that is aimed at providing the youth with digital skills and opportunities. All our trainees undergo training on online working skills and platforms. The trainings are carried out every term by Ajira team under the Ministry of ICT.

All our trainees qualify for HELB loans, NCDF bursaries from their respective constituencies as well as government capitation or scholarships. These government funding helps bridge social-economic disparities by providing equal opportunities for all trainees by ensuring that trainees from diverse backgrounds access quality training in TVET colleges. It’s worth noting that our fees payment modes are very flexible and well spread throughout the academic year.

We hereby appreciate all our trainees together with their parents/ guardians for choosing Nuu TVC as their best TVET College. We cannot thank you enough for your remarkable contribution towards the excellence of the college even realizing the ever increasing trainees’ enrolment that currently stands at 750. We couldn’t have come this far without you. Our hands are wide open to receive all our potential new trainees, parents/guardians and sponsors. We earnestly assure you of impartation of quality skills and competencies in the courses of your choice as well as nurturance of identified talents even in the space of co-curricular activities.
